Assessments and Coaching Plans

Our coaches have coached individual teams, multi-team programs and entire organizations for over 10 years. To improve our ability to add real and lasting value, we interview leadership and teams to learn about you contextually so we can produce a coaching plan which guides our work and allows us to iteratively measure our success.

Assessments

We start each engagement with a short assessment to help us understand:

  • How are you working today?
  • What is working well for you?
  • What are your challenges?
  • What are your goals?

Assessment interviews help us ensure that we are introducing the least amount of change with the most value. We call this Appropriate Ceremony, or the least amount of process which provides near terms, measurable value and sustained agility. Our suggestions for appropriate ceremony land in a coaching plan we present to you as a discussion starter.

Coaching Plans

The outcome from the assessment is a coaching plan. Our coaching plans contain the following:

  • A collection of coaching goals
  • Concrete suggestions for how we can help your team or program
  • A suggested cadence for the coaching
  • Measurable coaching goals

The suggestions in the coaching plan are broken into three areas:

  • Things you can do, augmenting what you already do well or revive practices you have abandoned
  • Course work that would directly address one or more of your specific challenges
  • Team based coaching where we are directly engaged with one or more teams over a period of time.

We create coaching plans as iterative and collaborative tools for all coaching engagements. Once we both agree on a meaningful combination of goals, tasks and measures, we convert the coaching plan into a contract for your final approval.
